Rumor after rumor are noting that Samsung is currently developing a total of three new Galaxy variants: 4.6-inch Galaxy S6 Mini, 5.1-inch Galaxy S5 Neo, and 5.5-inch Galaxy S6 Plus.
The device is speculated to have Exynos 7580 SoC with Mali-T720 GPU. The S5 will sport a 5 MP camera, borrowed from the Galaxy S6. However, STJS Gadgets Portal said that "all other specs remain the same from the S5." Hence, S5 Neo will have the following specs and features:
- 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display
- 1920 x 1080 resolution
- 2 GB of RAM
- 16 GB of internal memory
- 16 MP rear camera
- 2800 mAh battery
Further, S5 Neo will come out with two additional variants: Single SIM and Dual SIM. It will also have LTE support.
Other rumors about Samsung devices point to two smartphones that are set to be released: the Galaxy S6 Mini and Galaxy S6 Plus.
Latest detail about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus just surfaced on the net, shown along Marques Brownlee's review about the HTC One M9 Plus. In the YouTube video, the gadget reviewer dropped a photo (around 3:44) about the S6 Plus, which is similar to the Galaxy S6 Edge, only that it is a "lager version" of the current flagship device.
"It is a smart move on part of Samsung, as Android's screen diagonals are getting larger and larger on average, so once you try, say, a 5-inch handset, it becomes harder to go back to a 5-inch one, no matter what's stuffed inside, or how good it looks," said Phone Arena.
Going to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini, Anomylus tipped GSMArena that the said smartphone paid a visit at the GFX Benchmark, bearing model version SM-G9198. As a result, its specs and features were spotted as having a 4.6-inch display, 1280 x 768 resolution, Snapdragon 808 (similar to the LG G4), six-core CPU (2x Cortex-A57 and 4x Cortex-A53), Adreno 418 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Samsung is still yet to make official statements about the Galaxy S5 Neo, Galaxy S6 Plus, and Galaxy S6 Mini. Therefore, rumors should be taken with a grain of salt.
