"X-Men: Apocalypse" star Hugh Jackman recently hinted on his possible involvement in Ryan Reynolds' film "Deadpool." The actor also weighed in on what it's like to be retiring as Wolverine in the next few years.
According to Screen Rant, Jackman was already set on retiring as Wolverine after "X-Men: Apocalypse" and "Wolverine 3." However, after he saw "X-Men: Days of Future Past," he felt that the story was so fresh and said he still want to reprise his role in the next few years.
At one point, the actor even suggested that he wants to have a rematch with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, as previously seen on "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
After their titular match, Reynolds' "Deadpool" became a standalone movie and the filming just concluded recently. With this, Jackman expressed his desire to have a cameo in the movie, just like what Reynolds had in his film.
However, fans will be disappointed to know that Jackman will not appear on "Deadpool" because his schedule didn't permit it to happen. Right now, the actor is busy with "X-Men: Apocalypse" and his other professional engagements.
In an interview with The Huffington Post, Jackman denied his involvement on "Deadpool" and said, "Hmmm, I can't. No. Nope. But, I am really good mates with Reynolds. So...."
However, knowing the actor's history of denying his involvement in different films, there's still a chance that he could be seen on "Deadpool" once it is shown this coming Feb. 12, 2016.
In other news, it was already confirmed that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will serve as the conclusion to the trilogy that kicked off with "X-Men: First Class," followed by "X-Men: Days of Future Past," Den of Geek noted.
The film will feature the younger versions of Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Storm (Alexandra Shippe). The film also stars Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult as Beast Singer.
