PES 2016 to take lead against FIFA 16 with Konami UEFA license exclusive; FIFA 16 to offer all-women’s team playable option

FIFA 16 would be in for some tough competition as Konami retained the exclusive license UEFA license for the PES 2016. This announcement was made by Konami almost two weeks after EA Sports announced that their upcoming association football simulation video game would not be released in all Nintendo platforms.

Konami's excitement over announcing the details over the highly anticipated Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2016 was evident in the slogan, "The Pitch is Ours." PES would be celebrating its 20th anniversary and would be laying its stake over all other football simulation video games with the announcement they would be making on June 12th as game developer Konami retained its exclusive license with UEFA, based on a report from Full FIFA.

Add to that, Barcelona treble winner, Neymar Jr., would be shooting for the cover of PES 2016. Neymar also shared his enthusiasm over the project. He said that "The series has long been praised for its sheer level of control and utter realism and I am delighted to be working with such a talented team as Konami. I am fascinated by the huge amount of work involved in putting together the game and ensuring the world's top players look and play just like the real things, and cannot wait to see myself in action as soon as possible."

Then again, the gaming community was divided on which football simulation video game would be the best performing game in terms of graphic quality and gameplay complexity. There were some players who said that PES would "require a bit more skill and dedication to perform adequately." Meanwhile, other players said that FIFA was "aimed at making the game more accessible to newcomers and making them feel more at home with its different mechanics," based on a report from Master Herald.

Apart from that, gamers noticed that the graphics quality of PES relatively had more features that made it more realistic compared to FIFA. The high graphics quality of PES made the game more realistic and immersive.

Then again, FIFA 16 had some new features on its sleeves as it would be set to release the first female football line-up as a playable option. However, the latest game feature would only include twelve all-women's soccer teams, which included "the United States, England, and Brazil, it's nonetheless a welcome addition to the franchise," based on a report from GameRant.

Earlier, it was revealed that FIFA 16 would not be released in any of the Nintendo platforms. Nonetheless, the game would be available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC on September 25th in North America.
