“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” Update: Lionsgate opens one of the best film promotions ever

Lionsgate finally opens "The Hunger Games: The Exhibition" to the public to liven up the promotion for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" in New York City. Stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, along with other co-stars, relive their moments in the Capitol.

Adding fuel to the burning anticipation for the release of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2"-the last installment of The Hunger Games franchise, Lionsgate finally opens "The Hunger Games: The Exhbition" to fans living and visiting the Big Apple. The Guardian reported that the exhibition took place in Discovery Times Square where the world of the Hunger Games was featured in display glasses, cordoned recreated film sets, virtual presentations and so much more.

The entire walk-through in the museum guarantees a trip to a fictional world that gives off the non-fiction vibe. Everything appears too real that the exhibition becomes truthfully engaging and thought-provoking. The entire exhibit will be open until January 3, 2016 before it gets transferred to the Palace of Fine Arts Exhibition Hall in San Francisco.

Lionsgate's Chief Brand Officer and President of Worldwide Marketing, Tim Palen, was there in the opening and he claims that this project is the best avenue of connection and gesture of appreciation to the film's fans. He said, "We've partnered with the leading companies in the event, exhibition and attractions space to create an unforgettable experience that fans will love as part of our plan to extend our Lionsgate brands beyond the big screen and into location-based entertainment around the world."

Actors of the popular YA dystopia film franchise also graced the opening of the show - Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) , Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), Jena Malone (Johanna) and Willow Shields (Prim). In an interview with USA Today, lead actors Lawrence and Hutcherson shared how the exhibit was both amazing and emotional.

"I think people will feel so close to the film," began Lawrence. The two were visibly enjoying the features at the museum, especially the interactive portions. "It's very immersive and I think you can learn some more detailed stuffs and learn about where it came from-bigger messages and just kinda stepping into the world. It's so well done like the music, the interactive stuff. It is really, really cool," continued Hutcherson.

Fans of Lionsgate's most successful film franchise to date are definitely in for a treat this year. "The Hunger Games: The Exhibition" is open at The Discovery Times Square in New York from July 1, 2015 until January 3, 2015. As for the final film, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" opens in theaters on November 19, 2015.
