Star Wars Battlefront Gameplay Leaks: EA DICE begin purge of Youtube, Vimeo and Daily Motion websites; leaked gameplay footage mined for details

By

EA DICE has kept information at a relatively low volume for Star Wars Battlefront, and have only released a small amout of information. But the magnificently crafted game is definitely a Star Wars fan delight.

As noted in an interview with EA DICE General Manager Patrick Bach via The Guardian, the new Star Wars Battlefront is made not as a Battlefield game but tailor-made to a Star Wars game. Bach emphasized the need to make Star Wars Battlefront to be a Star Wars fan's dream come true and making sure to keep the authenticity of the Star Wars legacy rather than producing a Battlefield game under a Star Wars skin.

Bach notes that the game itself took a lot of heavy decision-making in order to retain authenticity and integrity to the Star Wars universe. A core decision that needed to be addressed was holding true to Star Wars Episode IV, V and VI as a logical approach to maintaining the same time era's authenticity for mixing and matching characters and maps. The decision also coincides with keeping the story alive in order to prepare for the upcoming Star Wars movie Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

But information can only satiate the impatient gamer so far. EA DICE have recently given a select number of gamers access to Star Wars Battlefront alpha build, granting permission to try out the game in different modes, with an end-user agreement that states that no footage may be uploaded on the internet. Naturally, these gamers would turn the other cheek and share the information to the world. And what information we have so far. If the gameplay footage haven't been removed yet, head on over to your favourite gamer website like Gamespot to check out the videos. You can also try serarching through Youtube, Vimeo, or Daily Motion and check if footage are still available, since EA DICE have started filing for copyright claim over the leaked footage.

Running around the frozen planet of Hoth as a Storm Trooper and defending the majestic AT-AT from the uplinking Y-Wing bombers while wiping out rebel scum will get your blood pumping - even if you're only taking a back seat. While developers EA DICE are frantically scrabbling to get the leaked footage from spreading further, dataminers have definitely milked ingame weapons and availabilities for what they're worth. Gamer websites like VG 24/7 took notes on the different weapons, vehicles, and emotes that are so far available to players.

While we do feel EA DICE and their hardship over these trying times, it definitely generates a healthy, hearty buzz for the new Star Wars Battlefront. If what we've seen so far is just the alpha build, we can't wait for the game to be completed. Star Wars Battlefront will be released November for PC, PS4, and Xbox One gaming consoles.
