The new Batman: Arkham Knight DLC entitled Batgirl: A Matter of Family is out this week for both PS4 and Xbox One systems. Unfortunately, PC systems will not be able to download the DLC just yet due to the fact that the game has been having compatibility issues the past few weeks. As of now, Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have put sales of the game for PC systems on hold for now. Rocksteady Studios is working to get the PC issue fixed first before any new material can be released for the system.
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment released a statement through the WB Forums regarding the PC systems issue of the new Batman: Arkham Knight. The post officially declares that sales of the game for PC systems have been suspended for now until the issue is finally resolved. This means that DLCs and updates will be on hold for PC systems for now until the team gets the game fixed. Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment assures the community that updates of the issue will be released once good progress has been made.
The issue with the PC is a big setback for Batman: Arkham Knight. The new Batman game is graphically stunning and looks spectacular, but the new DLC is falling short on gamer expectations. Developed by Warner Bros Games Montreal, Batgirl: A Matter of Family takes Barbara Gordon on a mission to save her father from yet another one of Joker's evil tricks. Kotaku's review of the new Batman: Arkham Knight DLC - Batgirl: A Matter of Family is an interesting read on the finer points of the new DLC.
No doubt the issues with the new Batman: Arkham Knight will dissuade Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment from releasing new material. According to a post on PlayStation Lifestyle, the new Batgirl DLC is only the first in a long list of DLCs to watch out for. Apart from the additional DLC chapters, additional content in the form of character skins, challenge maps, and skins for the legendary Batmobile will soon be available to the public.
Batman: Arkham Knight DLC Batgirl: A Matter of Family is available for download now on PS4 and Xbox One for those carrying season passes. The DLC will be open to all by June 21.
