Harmonix is gearing up for the release of Rock Band 4 on October 6 which will feature icons Judas Priest, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and The Cure among others. Pre-ordering the popular music videogame will also unlock bonus material to add to the collection. Old content from previous Rock Band installments can also be uploaded to the current playlist.
IGN reports that Harmonix released a list of new songs that will be available for Rock Band 4. IGN posts the official new song preview trailer that feature the Foo Fighters track "The Feast and the Famine", "Halls of Valhalla" from Judas Priest, and the iconic "Friday I'm In Love" from The Cure. Along with new song materials to jam to, Rock Band 4 will be featuring new gameplay that will make the Rock Band experience twice as fun. Rock Band developer Harmonix PR Lead Nick Chester spoke with TechCrunch this week to preview the newly developed and highly intriguing gameplay which allow players to rock out freestyle guitar solos. The freestyle guitar solo is a new feature on Rock Band 4 that reserves a certain section of the song for freestyle guitar solos that will never miss a beat. The freestyle feature is definitely a big addition to the new Rock Band installment that will let players actively use their creativity even if they don't know how to play the instrument.
No doubt the new feature will be a very interesting addition to the popular music video game that will hopefully boost sales for this year. Pre-ordering the game will get 30 bonus songs added to your collection, according to the official Rock Band 4 website. Distributed by Mad Catz, Rock Band 4 pre-orders can be placed via GameStop, Amazon, and Best Buy among others. Pre-ordering via Amazon also gives 4 additional exclusive songs to the already hefty playlist.
Rock Band 4 is scheduled for release on October 6 for both PS4 abnd Xbox One gaming consoles.
