Japanese TV network TOHO has begun streaming three new commercials for the highly anticipated live-action take on Hajime Isamaya's "Attack on Titan". The spots provided some intense and action-filled scenes from its first full-length trailer accompanied by the sweeping music of its official theme song -Sekai No Owari's "Anti-Hero". The first of the two-part film is slated to open in Japan on August 1.
To relieve the cravings of the fans whose appetite for the live-action compilation film "Attack on Titan" are bigger than the show's horrifying giants, TOHO has released three new teasers on Wednesday. Though the recently launched commercials are not subbed, the videos still effectively tease the things that are in store for those who will watch it in the bigger screen. Not only did it give a glimpse of the huge titans, but also featured its official theme song.
The visuals shown in the clips were intensified more with its official soundtrack titled "Anti-Hero" which was sung by the rock band Sekai No Owari (The End of the World). As previously announced, the four-member Japanese group has been confirmed to sing the theme song of the upcoming compilation film. As per Crunchyroll's report, the band is also slated to provide the soundtrack of the live-action's second part titled as "SOS".
As previously reported, "Attack on Titan Part 1" will center on a group of friends who will collaborate with their nation's armed forces to protect the people from a horde of giant, man-eating titans. Based on the world and characters of Hajime Isamaya's hit manga and anime series, it will star Haruma Miura as Eren, Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa, and Kanata Hongo as Armin. Satomi Ishihara, Nanami Sakuraba, Takahiru Miura, Hiroki Hasegawa, Ayame Misaki, Pierre Taki, Jun Kinimura, Satoru Matsuo and Rina Takeda will also appear in the first of the two-part film.
The movie is written by Yuusuke Watanabe ("Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods", live-action "Gantz", "Gantz II: Perfect Answer", "20th Century Boys", "Gatchaman") alongside creator Isamaya and film critic Tomohiro Machiyama.
"Attack on Titan Part 1" will open in Japan on August 1 while its second part "Attack on Titan: End of the World", will premiere on September 19.
