By

Quentin Tarantino's "Hateful Eight" is already locked and loaded for its debut on the big screen on December 25.

The movie which is set six to twelve years after the Civil War is focused on six travellers trapped inside a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. In case there's the need for more reasons to watch the film, or if fans want to know more about Tarantino's new Western, here are eight trivia about "Hateful Eight."

1. Poster

If the trailer or sneak peeks are not enough, seeing the movie's posters is already a huge kick of excitement. With the line "No one comes up here without a damn good reason," the movie clearly focuses on the setting and story, instead of the actors, as what many expect.

2. Cast

The line-up of cast include Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Zoe Bell, and possibly Channing Tatum. Many of them have already starred in the director's previous films. Tarantino previously mentioned that the actors were able to fit the roles he envisioned.

"In the case of Sam, Walt, Kurt, Tim and Michael Madsen, I was writing for those guys, and they fit the characters and the rhythms of the dialogue, like a glove," he said. "They took it to higher heights than it was on the page, but that was more or less what I expected."

3. Jennifer Jason Leigh

In an interview with Deadline, the director said, "No contest. It would have to be Jennifer who wins most surprising."

Before giving Leigh her big break, Tarantino said that her character, Daisy Domergue "had to be discovered and fleshed out by the actress." And when she got the part, "she bloomed into this truly amazing character, one of my favorite female characters I've ever written," said the director.

4. HUGE Action

"Hateful Eight," shot by cinematographer Robert Richardson will be in a 70mm format, following the footsteps of epic classics such as "Ben-Hur" and "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World."

5. Spaghetti Western Music

Composer Ennio Morricone will release a completely original score after 40 years, according to Entertainment Weekly. His previous works were used in Tarantino's "Kill Bill: Volume 2," "Inglorious Basterds," and "Django Unchained."

As "The Hateful Eight" premieres this year, fans must prepare to see more of Tarantino's Western touch in his next movies.
