It has been three years now since "Mass Effect 3" has been launched. Fast forward to now and Bioware gives us a glimpse on what to expect of "Mass Effect 4," also called as "Mass Effect Andromeda."
Just recently, Bioware's game producer, Michael Gamble, and Mass Effect Andromeda's Senior Development Director Chris Twynn, provided some details about the latest installment of the game franchise. They have spilled the beans about how they haven't casted anyone yet for the "Mass Effect Andromeda" voice actors. Apparently, they have already started on this process but they are still looking for the ones deserving to do the parts, as reported by iDigital Times.
Wynn revealed that the gameplay for the "Mass Effect Andromeda" is almost the same as "Mass Effect 3," but it has been rebuilt in the new Frostbite engine. The rebuilding is what's taking Bioware some time to finish and release the game. "Mass Effect 4" was described by Wynn as something with the similar feel as that of "Mass Effect 3," but more dynamic.
Another thing that was revealed by Wynn is that, "Mass Effect 4" wouldn't have a competitive multi-player feature, but he hinted that the multi-player part would remain strictly co-op. Trusted Reviews recounted Bioware stating that the game won't be focused on Commander Shepard, and will not even feature previous characters from the earlier installments.
Wynn adds that they can't say yet whether there will even be minor characters that will be featured in "Mass Effect Andromeda" or not. "Given that we haven't added every single character to the Andromeda built yet, we can't really answer this one yet."
Those who want to see the gameplay in action and are expecting for a gameplay footage, would have to wait longer says Wynn. Bioware doesn't have any plans of releasing one soon as indicated in the article by Gamespot.
More details about "Mass Effect 4" are expected to be unveiled before 2015 ends. For now, gamers have to be patient and wait for Mass Effect Andromeda's launch around fall next year for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows PC.
