'Boruto: Naruto The Movie' is revealed to feature main antagonists Kinshiki and Momoshiki of the Otsutsuki Clan. A live-action film is currently rumored to be in the works under Lionsgate.
According to iDigital Times, Naruto, Boruto, Sasuke and Sarada will be battling it out with Otsutsuki Clan's Kinshiki and Momoshiki. The latter is a descendant of the ancient clan lead by Princess Kaguya whose members are all pale-skinned and adorned with unusual anatomy such as horns.
He is known to absorb the chakra of his opponents rendering their attacks useless against him. Kinshiki is his companion who later sacrificed himself to give Momoshiki extra powers to defeat Naruto and the rest of the ninjas.
The upcoming film - English-dubbed for Western audiences - will focus on the series' main protagonist Naruto Uzumaki's son with Hinata Hyuga. He is introduced as Boruto Uzumaki and they will be shown to have a strained relationship. Boruto is spiteful of his father's lack of attention and seeks to train with Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto's friend and rival, to prove himself and his independence from his father.
According to Otaku Mode, manga creator Masashi Kishimoto will make an appearance on stage during the international premiere of 'Boruto: Naruto the Movie' next month at the New York Comic Con. The film will be released in theaters all over North America on the same day.
In an article by IGN, a live-action adaptation of the popular anime series will soon hit the big-screens as Lionsgate is reportedly under negotiations to helm it. It was reported that Michael Gracey will direct the possible film and Avi Arad will produce it under his Arad Productions Company. Geoff Shaveitz, Erik Feig, and Kelly O'Malley are said to be overseeing the project. So far, there haven't been any other reports confirming this adaptation.
'Boruto: Naruto the Movie' will reach U.S. territories on October 10, 2015. The upcoming film tells the story of Boruto, Naruto's son with Hinata Hyuga, and his struggles and challenges towards wanting to defeat his father who he felt hasn't been there for him in a long time. The Japan release of the film last August 7, 2015 grossed more than the previous 'The Last: Naruto the Movie' and beat other box office records.
