Perrie Edwards tried to be strong as she much as she could be when the world knows how Zayn Malik broke her heart. However, things went the other side when she broke down in the middle of Little Mix's performance for their fourth anniversary at AOL in New York son Wednesday, August 19.
While performing "The End," Edwards, 22, wept in public. The "Black Magic" singer started crying while singing the lines "And no one can love you, the way I used to do." Edwards' bandmates Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson quickly comforted her and gave an explanation to what had happened, PEOPLE reports.
"It's been a long day, and we've had no sleep, so I think this is why this has happened. We're just very emotional," Nelson tells the audience, while others shout, "We love you, Perrie!"
Reports came in that her ex fiancée Malik already called off the £3 million home deal with its current owner ex-Spurs footballer Steffan Iversen, Daily Mail reports.
With the former One Direction hunk canceling the home deal, it also meant that there's really no hope for reconciliation for the two.
"When Zayn quit One Direction he and Perrie had to scotch rumors they were splitting up. Buying the house was keeping them together," according to The Sun.
"After being dumped by Zayn by text, to then find out the house deal was off overwhelmed her," another source revealed.
The property they planned to purchase was the home Malik planned to wed the Little Mix singer. The six-bed five-bathroom mansion sits on a 25 acres of ground, and has a game room, fitness center and cinema. Now that the deal has been pulled off, it quashes any means of reconciliation for the ex-couple.
The ex pair who was engaged in 2013 visited the property two months ago. They hit the headlines after news came that Malik called off the engagements with 22-year-old Perrie through text message. The two had been together for four years. At the moment, Malik was rumored to be house hunting in L.A. for his new pad.
