About a year from now, "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" will be available across the globe for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Just to make sure the latest installment for the "Sniper" series makes a great hit, its developer CI games has announced its plan to invest PLN 40 million ($10.8 million) for the upcoming game.
As stated by Radio Poland, the Polish publisher and developer CI Games has formally made an announcement to invest nearly PLN 40 million ($10.8 million) for its upcoming game called "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3." It is the third installment in the "Sniper: Ghost Warrior" (SGW) series and the first to feature an open world first-person tactical shooter including the company's first ever AAA game. Just as the overwhelming expectations suggest, CI Games aims to raise the bar for SGW 3 and therefore making plans to cash out a hefty investment for the game.
So what made CI Games invest so much in the upcoming game? Reports claim that the big investment was intended to imitate the success of CD Projekt RED's PLN 45 million-investment ($12 million) for "The Witcher" hit series. Aside from that Polygon reported that CI Games wanted to surpass the previous market sales that served over 5.5 million units. "'The Sniper: Ghost Warrior' franchise is one of the most popular in the CI Games portfolio with over 5.5 million copies sold, so we're investing a significant amount of effort into the third installment," CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski said in a statement. "We're fully committed to creating an AAA franchise that gamers can rely on for the ultimate first-person sniper experience." He also added that latest installment is set "to define a new quality in the sector of sniper games."
In other news, Game Reactor reported the release for four new screenshots that featured the in-game view of "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3." Based from the teaser photos, fans can expect maximum customization of their battle gears and weapons down to the smallest detail.
"Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3" is expected to hit the market in mid-2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and and PC.
