EA revealed that they will not be releasing a special edition for Star Wars Battlefront for Xbox One console, though they have already made a sucessful release for the same current generation console model PS4 O the other side, the said special edition will feature Darth Vader as well as the other notable icons in the game.
This is a sad news for everyone who owns Xbox One as EA, through statements made by manager Matthew Everett, who recently mentioned that they will not make it possible to have an Xbox One version of their special edition [in bundle] for Star Wars Battlefront gameplay. This is because the special edition is treated as a PS4-exclusive.
Furthermore, PS4 console owners will have the chance to pre-order the "limited and standard edition" of the game as soon as they will announce the exact date they will be releasing them. They [PS4 owners] will also have their classic Star Wars game through purchasing standalone versions of each of the titles this year. These four Star Wars classics are also remastered to fit for PS4 console visual requirement.
Aside from the pre-orders and both the limited and standard editions of Star Wars Battlefront, they will be releasing Collector's Edition like the usual game developer would do to every new game they develop.
Everett also discussed about the possible features to include for the special edition. He said that with Star Wars Battlefront, players will be able to experience the Star Wars Battlefront progression system to enable them to unlock some items as soon as the rank goes higher. He did not mention anything further aside from stated. He told the media that he will just delve to specific details later on. Yet, he did not say when the fans would expect them though.
However, there are some sites saying that with the bundle, there will be an inclusion of custom DualShock 4 controller and more. Unfortunately, they did not announce further information about what to expect for the game as the release of the controller and the bundle will be announced separately since they will be sold individually although they are both promoted at the same time.
Aside from that, they also mentioned about a 10v10 team deathmatch mode and at the same time the Supremacy. These modes are actually strongly influenced by the command-and-conquer gameplay from the previous Star Wars Battlefront 2. DICE, the game developer behind this successful game revealed that they are still faithful to their iconic villains that are also playable as well as the heroes as usual for Star Wars game.
