Miley Cyrus "100 Percent in Love'' With Wayne Coyne, Says Her Music Is Not a Rebellion But a Gift

Miley Cyrus' VMA 2015 hosting stint made the biggest bombshell on Sunday when the singer announced that her latest album, "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz," is available for free streaming. The news was made by the "Wrecking Ball" crooner at the end of MTV Video Music Awards night.

Speaking to New York Times, Cyrus, 22, dished on how she comes up with her latest album and her artistic relationship with her collaborator and close pal, Wayne Coyne. The five-hour interview took place at the Technicolor playland in Studio City, where she is living alone.

"I am 100 percent in love with Wayne, and Wayne is in love with me, but it's nothing sexual in any way. That would be the grossest."

Cyrus revealed that Coyne's music can be felt strongly in "Karen Don't Be Sad" and "The Floyd Song (AKA Sunrise)," tracks, where his signature acoustic guitar and electronic zaps could be heard enormously. The former Disney star said that although Coyne has helped her a lot with the latest album, her fans could expect the same voice quality and natural pop instinct from her on the new project.

Cyrus also shared how her friendship with her collaborator grew stronger and how her new project was made. According to Rolling Stone, when her pet dog Flloyd was killed by coyotes in 2014 during her Bangerz world tour, she was depressed leading to her hospitalization. The singer reportedly befriended Coyne when he visited her at the hospital.

The daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus also claimed that she produced her album solely and spent $50,000 without the help of her RCA Records label.

"They had never heard the record until it was done," she said.

The groundbreaking artist was also keen in sharing how her advisers admired her. She claims that they praise her for achieving such success. They say they have never seen anyone especially a woman with much freedom. The "Bangerz" hitmaker said that she can literally do whatever she wants. However, the 22-year-old finished the statement saying her music is not meant to be a form of rebellion, but a gift.
