Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and its variants have taken the 2015 IFA event by storm for its record-breaking killer screen, making the first smartphone in the world to rock a 4K display. Following reports of horrible sales performance for its latest releases Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3+, the Japanese tech titan seems to be waging a very huge war to trample down stigma.

Sony bounces back with its new flagship devices bringing changes and useful features. Although the price might be a little too luxurious, the company promises a true smartphone that pays back the price.

Here are five reasons to consider before heading out to buy the Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone.

1. First 4K Display. Foremost reason to buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is because it is the first smartphone in the world to sport a killer 4K display. The 5.5-inch panel is pegged at 3,840 x 2,160 pixel which enhances rich colors and deep blacks. The 4K display makes Premium the phone to beat.

2. New OmniBalance Design. Although this feature has been around the since Xperia Z1 has come out, Sony is making a few tweaks with the feature making it more efficient and convenient. Aside from having rectangular portions with clean lines and waterproof design, Xperia Z5 Premium exudes an ultra-polished design with its color schemes and materials.

3. Brand-new Image Sensor. An image sensor placed everywhere in the phone is what Sony has been bragging about. Although available to most pro cameras and other smartphones like LG G4 and Samsung Galaxy S6, Sony makes a difference by featuring a brand-new and exclusive 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS 23-megapixel image sensor. The sensor's backside is illuminated and has embedded phase-detection pixels. Here dwells Sony's first mobile cam module with actuator, plus a six-element 24 mm lens with a wide f/2.0 aperture. With this, the camera can autofocus in just .03 second.

4. Fingerprint Scanner. The fingerprint sensor has been integrated to the home button for a more convenient access. This makes unlocking the device efficiently that promises to successfully log in without having to hover over finger for a few times.

5. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The best build and design is not best after all if software running in the inside is in mediocrity. Z5 Premium luckily wears the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop which brings notable features and supports fit for Xperia. The 5.1.1 version of Android Lollipop features improved Material Design for a more fluid interface and animations. It also brings device switch, device sync, security patch, and supports for Android Pay, fingerprint scanner and USB Type, among others.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is available in gold or chrome and black variants in October. All units have mirrored glass back. It has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor, 32 GB of internal storage, 3430 mAh battery and 3 GB of RAM. It costs around US $ 1,070.
