With Kit Harington sightings in 'Game of Thrones' set, can Jon Snow's return be far behind?

By

The last time Jon Snow was seen in the hit HBO drama "Game of Thrones", he was on the receiving end of an onslaught of stabbings from several mutinous members of the Night's Watch. Fans of the series were shocked that the well-loved character was killed in the most brutal manner possible. Now, the same fans are reeling from excitement with the news that Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, was spotted on the "Game of Thrones" set in Belfast, Ireland.

Vanity Fair reports that not only was Harington seen filming a big battle scene but he was also spotted earlier in the week spending time around Belfast with co-star Iwan Rheon who plays Ramsay Bolton in the series. Same report says that based on on-set reports, Jon Snow will be back with a vengeance as it was a big battle scene that Harington was involved in.

Jon Snow's return for Season 6 was good as confirmed by Kit Harington himself reports Unreality TV. "Let's just say that 'Game of Thrones' will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over. One thing's for sure: the day I'm no longer on 'Thrones' is the day I'll bury myself in movie projects." He also mentioned that he was still under contract with HBO.

Everything that has come out on Jon Snow's coming back runs counter to all previous efforts by the show runners and cast to dispel the comeback rumors. Director David Nutter told no less than President Obama that Snow was "deader than dead". Maisie Williams, who plays Arya, insisted that it was pretty clear that he was dead after the Season 5 finale.

Speaking of Arya, Independent UK reports that she will be blind for part of Season 6 but seems to be honing her assassin skills based on her filming at the Girona Spain set. She was seen doing underwater skills and leaping from a building.

In other news, Essie Davis was reportedly signed to play the part of Cersei Lannister, an actress in a play within the show called The Bloody Hand. Richard E. Grant was also added in the cast to play the leader of the theatre troupe behind the play.

All signs point to a Jon Snow return and there are all sorts of speculations on how and what point of "Game of Thrones" season 6 this will happen. Fans will just have to wait when the series returns in 2016.
