Former Star Trek Voyager cast Jennifer Lien was taken into custody by the Roane County police at her home in Harriman, Tennessee following her reported self exposure in front of children on August 31.
The actress, 41, who portrayed the role of Kes in the series was apparently held for two weeks after her arrest on Sept.3. The incident all started when she had a heated row with her neighbor named Carey Smith over a crying child. Yahoo reports that out of the blue, Lien took off her clothes for no reason.
"All of a sudden, here come the shirt up," Smith told Tennessee news station WATE.
"She started flashing and, 'Woo hoo,' and I said, 'And what respect is that for kids?' There was none. And then she turned around and dropped her pants."
According to Variety, when the authorities came to her home to serve her a warrant of arrest, they found Lien under a blanket without any clothes on. The 41-year-old actress also resisted the arrest and threatened that the officers would be shot and killed.
It was not the first time that Lien had a run-in with the law. In April, she is charged with evading arrest, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and aggravated assault. She reportedly smashed into a police patrol service at that time, according to Huffington Post.
Lien starred on the "Star Trek: Voyager" from 1995 to 2000. She also appeared in a couple of films such as "American History X," "Men in Black: The Series," "Accidents Don't Happen," and "Battle Force: Andromeda." She had a voice over in the movie "Lion King 2: Simba's Pride."
Lien faces two misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure. She denied the charge of exposing herself, but authorities gave her a detainer summons. She is still in the custody of the police, where her bond is set at $2,500.
