Xiaomi has finally confirmed the official launch date of Mi 4c. This smartphone is said to be an advanced version of the Xiaomi Mi 4i, which was released exclusively in India early this year.
On Tuesday, September 22, Xiaomi Mi 4c is expected to be released. This was confirmed by Lin Bin, the President and Co-Founder of Xiaomi, on Weibo. The Chinese smartphone maker will be holding an event on this day and it will introduce its newest device to the world, the Mi 4c.
Xiaomi Mi 4c is alleged to mimic the design of the Mi 4i, but will boast higher-end specifications and newer things under the hood. It is expected to sport a 5-inch full HD Sharp/ JDI display, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 5.1-based MIUI v7.0 operating system. In addition, it will feature 4G LTE network support, 3120mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera, as well as 5-megapixel front snapper.
Moreover, the Mi 4c will be the first Xiaomi device to support the USB Type-C. This is the new connector specification that OnePlus supports on its new handset and Apple uses on its latest MacBook. It can be plugged into the user's devices in any direction, like the lightning port on most recent iPhones.
Aside from those mentioned above, the Xiaomi Mi 4c will also be released in two variants - 16GB for 2GB of RAM and 32GB for 3GB of RAM combination. The first combination will be priced at $235, while the second one has no official word to announce yet. However, both the models are expected to hit stores initially in China on October 3. The pre-orders will go online on September 22, after the Xiaomi's event.
This will definitely be another milestone for Xiaomi. The sales growth of the company last year has been a success. Hopefully, it will be the same this year as Xiaomi Mi 4c will be released.
