Recently, a behind-the-scenes footage of 'Star Trek Beyond' revealed what looks like an alien bust. With these tease, fans have speculated which character this could possibly turn into, with some guesses that it could be Jem'Hadar or Talaxian.
According to iDigital Times, new 'Star Trek Beyond' alien is not exactly a identical to the Dominion Jem'Hadar. However, they do have conspicuous similarities that may be hard to dismiss. Most remarkably both have bone ridges around the ear are, continuing down to the chin. Both of these creatures also have ear holes instead of ears. This could be an unfinished bust of the Jem'Hadar.
Another theory is that it might be an updated version of a Talaxian, according to Blastr. Citing their similarities in head ridge along the skull's edges and the cheekbones, there are also differenceslike the ears, the coloring and the hair, or the lack of thereof. Whether it is updated and/or unfinished is yet to be confirmed by the secretive production.
It is highly possible too that the alien is one of the new races that will debut in 'Star Trek Beyond'. This is the film where it revolves completely around the Starship Enterprise leaving Earth and with missions and adventures that expand the Star Trek lore, diverging from the cannon.
Meanwhile, according to Deadline Hollywood, Paramount Pictures have announced the change in release date for 'Star Trek Beyond'. The new premiere will be on July 22, 2016, two weeks after its original slated date, July 8, 2016. The change was brought about the unavailability of the Imax hubs because of Warner Bros.' 'Tarzan' forcing Captain Kirk and Spock and the rest of the Enterpriseto find a new launch date.
'Star Trek Beyond' competes with 20th Century Fox's Ice Age: Collusion Course and Warner Bros.' Guy Ritchie-directed King Arthur in its new release date. Until then, fans and moviegoers can anticipate updates and leaks on what this alien really is.
