It's almost a full year wait before Season 4 of "Orange is the New Black" premiers but there are already some things that we know about the ladies of Litchfield Penitentiary in the next season. The end of Season 3 saw the influx of inmates that set the premise that more characters will be introduced in the upcoming season.
Latin Times reports that the new inmates will create a prison population problem. The central issue for Season 4 is overcrowding say several cast members. This will present problems in the living quarters and even bigger issues in the kitchen for the Litchfield residents.
The coming season of "Orange is the New Black" could also be the season where Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren (Uzo Aduba) may get a lovelife. "That's my wish for her," Aduba says. "I want her to know that she is loved, and to meet someone who values her." Based on the Season 3 finale, that someone could be Maureen.
For those hoping for a reconciliation between Sofia (Laverne Cox) and Gloria (Selenis Leyva), don't hold your breath for it is not coming anytime soon or at all reports Enstarz."I can't imagine," says Cox. "As a viewer watching, seeing how much remorse Gloria has, I always like to believe there's a potential for forgiveness, but this is pretty bad. This is really, really bad." Leyva is more hopeful as she believes that the two characters are good people and their feud is not about personal attacks on each other but more about their children.
After surviving an attack at the Season 3 finale, Alex (Laura Prepon) will be returning to Litchfield. Since her suspicions about being a target have been confirmed, she will have to watch her back. Will Piper be by her side? "You can't control where your heart goes, and Alex and Piper will always have a connection," Prepon says in a Master Herald article. She added that the two would be there for each other completely should one needed the other.
Netflix has denied the rumors of Caitlyn Jenner coming to the next season of the drama-comedy series to play the love interest of Sophia. Last season, Sophia was abandoned by her friends in the prison and Caitlyn Jenner allegedly will be the one to give her the support and friendship that she is missing.
There is no official date for the Season 4 premiere of "Orange is the New Black". Based on the season premiere dates of the past three seasons, the most likely premiere date of Season 4 will be on June 2016.
