The official promo trailer for Season 2 of "How to Get Away With Murder" confirms that there will be a lot of intense drama that viewers can expect in the coming season. The premiere episode will pick up where season one ended which was the mysterious death of Rebecca Black. Titled " It's Time to Move On", the major reveal on who Rebecca's killer is will made.
The ABC synopsis for the episode says that Annalise Keating and her students move on with their lives as though nothing has happened but the students are still reeling over Rebecca's disappearance. Melty reports that Wes, Laurel, Michaela and Connor are not even aware of Rebecca's death but instead they think that she was able to escape from Annalise's basement. Only Annalise and Frank know and both claim innocence to the murder. She keeps the truth from her students while she investigates them as she is determined to discover who the killer is.
Season 2 will introduce different new mysteries that will be solved unlike the season long story of Lila Stangard's murder in Season 1. Actress Viola Davis excitedly reveals that the first episode of the season will be explosive. "One thing I can share with you is it starts off with a bang. A lot of the mysteries will be solved and answered, and then absolutely a new one will be presented. It's just so complicated and fascinating, and that happens in the first episode."
According to Variety, Season 2 will also see new but familiar faces joining the cast of "How to Get Away With Murder". Kendrick Sampson, formerly of The Vampire Diaries will have a recurring role that will debut in episode one. X-Men's Famke Janssen will play a brilliant defense lawyer. Amy Okuda and Matt Cohen have also joined the cast.
The most intriguing moment of the trailer reports Yibada was when Annalise was flashed screaming to an undisclosed person, "Now that you've done this, you're a monster!". Was she confronting Wes Gibbins who many suspect was the one who killed his girlfriend or Frank who she very knows is capable of killing someone?
One of them may indeed be the killer but it could also be anyone from the rest of the Keating five or Annalise's dedicated associate, Bonnie. Viewers will just have to wait till September 24 to find out.
