'Five Nights At Freddy's' is an upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular video game series created by developer Scott Cawthon. The adaptation will be produced by Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and will be directed by Gil Kenan. A new role-playing game spin-off has been announced and will feature the original characters from the series.

It was reported by Deadline that Gil Kenan has teamed up with Warner Bros. to helm the big-screen adaptation of Scott Cawthon's widely popular horror game series. Kenan, known for previous works such as 'City of Ember' and 'Monster House,' will also be writing the script together with Tyler Burton Smith. It was said that the 38-year old filmmaker will be deviating from the games' original story but will stick to its universal and underlying mythology.

Another article by Game Informer revealed that Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment together with Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions are all set to produce the film. Lee is accredited with transforming and remaking Asian films for American audiences and he has worked in past horror films such as 'The Grudge', 'The Echo', 'The Eye', 'Shutter' and 'The Ring'.

According to Game Zone, the horror point-and-click video game series may have come to a conclusion with April 2015's release of 'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' but a brand new spin-off entitled 'Five Nights at Freddy's World' is already under way. The free demo is also going to be available for Android and iOS users as well as for PC. Cawthon announced the role-playing game to feature original characters like Freddy Fazbear and will be unlike the series.

'Five Nights At Freddy's' is an upcoming horror film by Warner Bros. Pictures based on the popular independent point-and-click horror game of the same name. The series follows the exploits of homicidal animatronic animals named Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. Follow-ups feature upgraded versions of each yet some still retain their original names.

The game, first released last August 2014, is famous for its overly simplistic gameplay. Despite this, it earned generally positive reviews from gaming outlets and communities. It eventually set a name for itself in the horror gaming genre.
