‘Boruto: Naruto The Movie’ Updates: Creator Masashi Kishimoto will have special appearances in New York Comic Con for October 10 U.S. screening

'Boruto: Naruto The Movie' may have set a new box office record in Japan but audiences waiting to see if it will do as well in North American shores. The highest grossing film in the manga-anime franchise is scheduled to be released on October 10 in the United States and tickets are already available for advanced purchase. Masashi Kishimoto himself will pay a visit during the screening.

According to IGN, Viz Media announced that the scheduled premiere for the long-awaited U.S. release of the 11th film in the popular animated series will be on October 10. The anime and manga distribution giant has partnered with Eleven Arts to bring the film across several territories in the U.S. including New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle and Los Angeles. The film will keep its original Japanese voice work but will be given English subtitles.

Another article by Movie News Guide stated that the scheduled cinematic premiere was to be on October 7 but Viz Media pushed back date without elaborating the reason for delay. It was reported that a rumored live-action adaptation in the works may be the cause of postponement. Apparently, Lionsgate is already in negotiations to attain the film rights from creator Masashi Kishimoto for the adaptation.

The 40-year old genius behind the comic book sensation will be doing a series of special appearances for the upcoming New York Comic Con during the screening of 'Boruto: Naruto The Movie', according to Three Ifs By Space. Viz Media, in partnership with The Japan Foundation and ReedPOP, will be putting up an exhibit in booth #1346 and will offer manga and anime products for sale during the entire convention in Javits Center in Manhattan from October 8-11, 2015.

It was also reported that sponsors will be holding a pair of exclusive autograph sessions with Kishimoto as well as in-store appearances in Barnes & Noble Tribeca as well as Kinokuniya Bookstore. The renowned manga artist will headline a special panel that would focus on his work in the 'Naruto' series.

'Boruto: Naruto the Movie' is the highest grossing film in the anime-manga series, released in Japan last August 7. It is the 11th film in the franchise and is Hiroyuki Yamashita's directorial debut. It follows the newer generation of fighters including Naruto Uzumaki's son Boruto and Sasuke Uchiha's daughter Sarada.
