Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell are reportedly dating to make her ex Ian Somerhalder jealous. Recent reports claim that "The Vampire Diaries" actress is still not over Somerhalder and is having a lot of PDAs with Stowell to steal the spotlight from Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed.
As reported by E! News, the new couple packed on PDAs at Eli Mizrahi's Founding Member Dinner Party. Multiple sources claimed that the couple looked very much into each other and that they looked very happy while spending time together.
After they began dating earlier this year, they have been caught in photographs kissing and cuddling in public. The two seem not to be afraid to show everyone that they are in love, and their behavior at the Fashion Week party was quite similar. The source shared that her newest beau was a complete gentleman and treated Dobrev with respect. "You can tell how much they love each other just by the way they speak and their mannerisms toward one another," the source revealed.
However, Celebrity Dirty Laundry claimed that that the "TVD" alum's relationship with Austin Stowell is just a scheme to make the newlyweds Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed jealous. She seemingly believes that making Somerhalder and Reed think that the actress has fully moved on from Somerhalder will piss them off.
The source admitted, "It would certainly be an easy way to seemingly end the constant association with Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed." It looks like dating Stowell just a way for Dobrev to steal the spotlight from her former boyfriend and his wife. Moreover, she constantly tries to prove to the public and the media that she has nothing to do with his former love Somerhalder and Reed anymore.
In addition, all this PDA and perfectly timed romance are purportedly aligned with Dobrev's push for another TV roles. Dobrev is reportedly looking forward to land a major role in "Empire" or "True Detective" as reported by International Business Times. An insider even claimed that this is the right timing to push for her new movie- career.
However, a lot of their fans are not letting Somerhalder and Dobrev forget their past romance. In fact, Somerhalder's Twitter account was recently hacked and one of the messages posted by the hacker, assumed to be a Dobrev fan, was a love message to "The Vampire Diaries" actress.
