The long-awaited "The Incredibles 2" surely seems to be interesting, as it will reportedly host a room for ideas that didn't fit in the first film. Director Brad Bird, on the other hand, spilled a few details about the upcoming sequel.
Games Radar reports that director Brad Bird has been talking about what fans should expect from "The Incredibles 2". According to the filmmaker, it will include a whole bunch of ideas that didn't fit in the first film. He also expressed his desire to create a clear link between the original and the sequel.
Speaking with Coming Soon, the director said he "had a bunch of ideas that I wanted to put in The Incredibles, but they didn't just fit." Bird believes that there were indeed certain few concepts, but other things make them go. Bird went on to say that he "had to give up two other things that matter more to me to get this other thing in."
It surely indicates a pile of ideas left over from the first film that the director will try to find room for the sequel. Although there are no specific details with regards to the storyline, it sounds as if the sequel will be very much in the spirit of the original.
In related news, Cinema Blend reported that Bird was actually referring to the 10+ years he waited to return to the Pixar world. And it was during that time that the animated giants have churned out additional stories in their "Toy Story," "Monsters" and "Cars" universes.
The publication added that although it took so long for an attempt to create a sequel, there are viable reasons to consider. One is the fact that the director himself wanted to break things up in a manner that it will eventually lead him to coming back at it.
It may be thought-provoking to see how those ideas, which didn't fit in the first film, will pave the way for "The Incredibles 2." But by the way director Brad Bird talked about the sequel, many are already assured that the movie will certainly be worth the wait.
