The Superman, Henry Cavill, was recently rumored to be joining "Fifty Shades Darker" as Christian Grey's rival. But, those rumors were cleared out when the 50 Shades producer, Dana Brunetti, has spoken up.
Cavill was rumored to be Anastasia Steele's boss Jake Hyde in the sequel movie but it seems like it will uncertainly happen. Brunetti revealed in E! News that the casting procedures are not yet being processed. "We're nowhere near casting. We haven't gotten into anything like that," he said. "We don't even have a casting director on it yet."
Moreover, Cavill insisted that he has nothing to say regarding the rumors. Due to his hinted possibilities of joining the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker", reports say that fans took it seriously which made the rumors ignited even more. But, he revealed on USA Today that he won't be appearing in the movie and he was "just messing with everyone."
Movie News Guide reported that Brunetti has not casted new characters yet including Jack Hyde. And that possibility is far from possible but, if it ever happens, the crew might cast someone that the audiences would have least expected.
Aside from Cavill, two other names were in the rumor mill. Ian Somerhalder and Theo James have been included in the list. However, Brunetti has clearly stated that it won't possibly happen. Netflix's House of Cards director James Foley was chosen to direct the upcoming project.
Dakota Johnson who plays as Christian Grey and Jamie Dornan as Anastasis Steele will be reprising their roles in "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed". Based on the successful hit novels of E.L. James, the first sequel movie will follow the life of Anastasia as she worked at Seattle Independent Publishing as the personal assistant of Editor Jack Hyde.
Despite the casting revelations, fans are still clinging onto the possibility that Cavill will be Jack Hyde. They will soon find out on Feb. 10, 2017.
