‘Graceland’ Cancelled by USA Network After Three Seasons; Cast Hopeful To Get Season 4

Briggs and co. will not be returning next summer. USA Network has officially cancelled “Graceland” on Friday after three seasons of airing. The action-packed series, which starred Daniel Sunjata and Aaron Tveit, was created and executive produced by Jeff Eastin.

After wrapping-up its 13-episode third season two weeks ago, "Graceland" unfortunately got the axe from USA Network. According to Variety, the cable network was happy with the creative direction of the show; but the gritty-drama’s weekly performance in ratings denied them the season 4 pickup.

The Jeff Eastin-produced series has been delivering soft numbers for the cable network during its third run. The entire season which ran from June-September 2015, only averaged a meager 0.29 in ratings. Although the finale got an uptick of 50%, the cable series just wasn’t able to deliver a stable performance throughout the summer.

Before the sad announcement, series star Daniel Sunjata shared that the cast are hopeful for the show’s future. “To tell you the truth, the whole cast just has our fingers crossed that there will be a Season 4. We love telling the ‘Graceland’ stories and playing these characters,” he said in a report from Zap2it. “I’ll be honest with you, I have not the first idea where Jeff will pick up Season 4 if we’re blessed to get one,” the actor continued.

For now, no other networks have shown interest to resurrect "Graceland" for a couple more seasons. Thankfully for the fans who have followed the series since the pilot, the series was able to deliver something remarkable until the finale. According to creator Jeff Eastin, he made it sure that the final season will be something that fans will definitely find satisfying.

“The idea this year was to push everybody as close as we could to that edge, and hopefully make it as interesting as possible. I'm really happy with it. For me, this was the best season we've had so far,” the executive producer shared through Vine Report.

Following USA Network's announcement of pulling "Graceland" out of the plug, there is no word yet from other networks if they will opt to resurrect the Jeff Eastin-produced series. Before the cancellation, the cast has already expressed their hope for the show’s future. Now, it seems like they still need to continue praying for it.
