'The Jungle Book' is an upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney's classic animated film from 1967. The newly released international trailer features never before seen footage, combining scenes from the U.S. trailer and additional shots of beloved characters Baloo, Raksha and Bagheera.

The other trailer posted by Slash Film shows new material for the long-awaited live-version including more shots of Bill Murray's Baloo the bear, Ben Kinglsey's Bagheera the panther as well as Lupita Ngyong'o's Raksha the wolf mother. It was also reported that the sequences were shot entirely in Los Angeles and most of the animals and landscape used were created entirely by special effects.

Other familiar characters from the children's tale are voiced by an ensemble cast that includes Scarlett Johansson for Kaa the Indian rock Python, Idris Elba for Shere Khan the Bengal tiger, Christopher Walken for King Louie the ape, and Giancarlo Esposito as Akela the wolf leader.

According to Screen Rant, Favreau's take on Rudyard Kipling's book of the same name will blend elements of the original musical as well as adapt a more thrilling perspective on Mowgli's adventures in the jungle. The film is written for the big-screen by Justin Marks and produced by Favreau and Brigham Taylor. It was also reported that Richard Sherman, the original composer and lyricist for the 1967 film, will be contributing new songs for the feature film.

The new 'The Jungle Book' remake will join the ever-growing roster of classic Disney animated films adapted into their live-action counterparts, according to Forbes. Modern reboots such as 'Maleficent' starring Angelina Jolie, 'Cinderella' featuring Cate Blanchett, and 'Alice In Wonderland' starring Johnny Depp were considered box office successes and earned generally positive reception from critics and audiences alike.

'The Jungle Book' is an adventure-fantasy remake of the original film released in 1967. The two versions are both based on the critically-acclaimed collection of stories by English author Rudyard Kipling that use the artistic method of anthropomorphism to promote moral lessons. The plot follows a feral child named Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by his animal friends.
