A sneak peek for the season premiere of "Arrow" season 4 has been released and in it, Oliver is shown coming back to Star City as someone convinced him to do so. Photos for the second episode have also been revealed.
In a report by Christian Post, Oliver decided to hang up his hood as the Arrow and leave in order to have a more blissful domestic life with Felicity in the past season but he will come back to Star City in the upcoming episode. In the sneak peek, Red Arrow and Black Canary are working with Diggle in order to save the city but they need Arrow to back them up.
According to executive producer Wendy Mericle, this will leave Oliver torn between keeping his new life or considering returning to Star City to fight the evil. Felicity was then seen saying, "What should I say? Our friends need our help. We should already be in the car."
In episode 2 entitled "The Candidate," We Got This Covered shared that official images have been released. Among those photos show Oliver Queen seen sporting his Green Arrow costume. Anarky was also featured as well as the new Mayoral candidate for Star City.
The publication added that the synopsis made mention of Jessica Danforth telling Oliver and Thea that she is to run for Mayor but the two are concerned as three mayors have been murdered in the past.
Meanwhile, IGN reported that "Arrow" season 4 will be much more humorous and light as compared to season 3. Mericle said during the interview that, "There's a little bit more humor - and coming from Oliver as well. Stephen [Amell] plays a great straight man. He's really good at that stuff." Another major change, says Mericle, is the costume which is not anymore sleeveless and has a lighter color. She added, "It's fledgling on the Arrow so there's a slightly different color green as kind of a nod to the comic book character."
"Arrow" Season 4 will see Oliver and Felicity coming back to Star City to help their friends and the episodes will be much lighter than the third season. The CW series will be back on Wednesday, October 7 at 8 P.M.
