Moto X, Moto G, DROID Turbo To Receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

As the newest operating system made by Google was officially launched yesterday, October 5, many are expecting that they will have this update soon on their handsets. Motorola was actually one of the smartphone manufacturers who have stated that they will be carrying the Marshmallow update for some of its devices.

The Neurogadget said on its article that Motorola devices that have been released in 2014 and 2015 will receive the new Android OS. The following handsets that will most likely receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS sometime soon are: Droid Turbo, Moto Maxx (2014), Moto X Pure Edition (2nd and 3rd generation), Moto X, Moto X Play, Moto Turbo (2014) and Moto G (2nd and 3rd generation).

Moreover, Android Origin cited the new features that Android M will bring to the above mentioned handsets. One of the most expected developments is Doze Mode, which is the device's ability to identify when it's not being used for long periods of time, entering a deep sleep phase which should save battery life noticeably. This new operating system also have some enhanced volume controls which will give users a lot more control over the volume of their apps and could re-introduce silent mode.

Another predictable improvement of Motorola's Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is Android Pay which will make Motorola users' shopping easier by simply requesting an authorized click from them. The Google's Now On Tap will also arrive, a very nice feature which lets handlers to long press the home button and get information about whatever they're doing at the moment. This allows them to make quick events or send a certain message easier.

Latinos Post added that Motorola also announced that some Moto features will be replaced by similar ones that come with Android 6.0 M, such as Moto Assist. It was noted that the app is the Google Chrome extension in Motorola Connect and Motorola Migrate.

Moreover, Motorola has not yet released the exact dates when the OS update will come on the specific handsets. But then, the company stated that the schedule details will be accessible in the coming weeks.
