Since the movie is expected to start filming in a few months, reports say the studio will delay the production of "Fifty Shades Darker" due to some circumstances. However, a photo with the new director and screenwriter posted on a social media account told otherwise.
After director Sam Taylor-Johnson, the first 50 Shades director, left to work with E.L. James' Living Nightmare, Movie Pilot reported that James Foley (At Close Range, Perfect Stranger, Who's That Girl) was hired to sit in the director's chair for the sequel movie. However, it was reported that the development of the movie is not progressing even though a director has been announced. With Foley helming the movie, the moviegoers might see some changes in the tone and feels of the sequence.
According to News Everyday, Dornan who portrays Christian Grey might go nude since he will be paid more. Rumors insisted that he was offered at least $1 million for a frontal nudity in the "Fifty Shades Darker" to satisfy the demands of the audiences for lecherous scenes. Although Dornan has remained silent about this rumor, reports say this might unlikely happen because the scene will limit the audiences with a higher rating.
Meanwhile, E.L James has posted a photo of her with Foley and Niall Leonard on her official Instagram Account on Wednesday. Before the photo which she captioned "#FSD #FSF with James Foley @foleyfilm and Niall Leonard@noghar", she also uploaded a photo of the studio. This led the fans to conclude that they have begun with the pre-production.
Niall Leonard, the husband of the author of the book E.L. James, replaced Kelly Marcel as the scriptwriter of the second movie. Unlike Marcel who was cautious enough in sex portrayals, fans may likely witness a more profound sex scenes in Leonard's script.
Sources say the movie producers are trying to fix the issues in order to get the production back on the scheduled filming. However, "Fifty Shades Darker" is slated for a release on February 10, 2017. Will the release date also be affected once the delays extend?
