Netflix and Marvel had a big hit in their hands with "Daredevil" Season 1 when a lot of subscribers binged watch it. The powerful premiere season was able to build a strong fan base but along with that comes high expectations for the second season. With the many spoilers that are going around the web, it is safe to assume that Season 2 is up for the challenge.
One of the updates for Season 2 of the series is the return of Stick, played by Scott Glenn to Hell's Kitchen. His character was introduced as Matt Murdock's mentor in the previous season. The official "Daredevil" Twitter page hinted the character's return when a photo was posted showing Stick and Matt sitting on a park bench.
Meanwhile, Christian Post reports that showrunner Marco Ramirez also confirmed Stick's return saying, "In some ways, Stick is to Marvel's Daredevil what Scott Glenn has been to film and TV - a magnetic and awesome force to be reckoned with. It's an honor to welcome him back, and the Daredevil team can't wait to unleash Scott's unique brand of badassery upon the world in season 2."
It was also shared that Stick will be seen in three episodes including the first two episodes of the season. His appearance is expected to set the tone and plot of the upcoming season since he will be presenting Matt with a new goal in life. However, it was revealed that it will not be something Matt is set on being involved with.
Gospel Herald reports that Jon Bernthal will be playing one of Marvel's biggest antiheroes, the Punisher, in "Daredevil" Season 2. In the comics, the Punisher is Frank Castle, a war veteran who lost his family in a crime-related incident. As a result, he has no qualms about killing his enemies. It's very clear that the Punisher will be a great antagonist to Daredevil with his brand of street justice. Daredevil has refused to kill even his worst enemy, the Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), even though he wanted to.
Another exciting news is the casting of actress Elodie Yung as Elektra, who is one of the lovers of "Daredevil" in the comic version. She is a fan favorite although she was killed by a villain named Bulls-eye. However, it is still not known how and when she makes an appearance in the tv series.
Also announced is the return of Rosario Dawson's character of the Night Nurse and the addition of a character from the comics named Blake Tower who will be played by Stephen Rider reports Vine Report.
It is hard to keep up with all of the things going on in Season 2 of "Daredevil" but they will surely help in making sure that it can live up to the success of Season 1. It is expected to be out in the Spring of 2016.
