As Google released its newest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, many smartphone manufacturers have promised to deliver this update to their flagship carriers. One of which is Sony which has recently confirmed the latest update's availability for Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5.
According to Neurogadget, the exact release date of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for these two devices has not been publicized yet. But then, all Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5 Premium owners would definitely get the Marshmallow update so they have to be ready to upgrade their devices in the upcoming months.
Gospel Herald stated the improvements and developments that Android 6.0 will bring to Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5. One of the new features includes Android Pay and fingerprint support, which is believed to improve consumer's security when purchasing using their devices. Another is that the top four most recently used apps will now appear on the top menu. And lastly, the App Drawer has been improved with a new interface, featuring a vertical scroll instead of horizontal.
Aside from the Sony Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5 Premium, here is the list of other Sony smartphones that were announced to receive the update. The Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4.
Meanwhile, Tech Times cited on its article the models that might not get the Marshmallow update. The Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia A4 and Xperia E3.
With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, Sony Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5 Premium handlers are now exceited to experience the changes that the newest update by Google brings. But then, users of these handsets still have to wait because its roll out is through over-the-air process.
