Sony Electonics Announces Ultimate 4K Home Theater Projector; Arriving in Spring 2016

Sony has introduced its latest innovation, the Ultimate 4K Home Theater Projector, during the CEDIA 2015 event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. This device is set to be available next year, which offers the ultimate home cinema experience to every user.

During the CEDIA 2015 event last week, Sony planned the announcement of its first-ever projector that is mainly produced for home cinema. The Sony Ultimate 4K Home Theater Projector with model number VPL-W5000ES is "truly the ultimate home cinema display," as per Yamato Tanikawa, Director for Home Entertainment & Sound for Sony Electronics. It is a 5000 lumens 4K SXRD laser light source projector that projects great contrast and brightness.

According to the official Sony blog website, the company's newest innovation brings an immersive viewing activity that takes the home theater experience of the users to a whole new level. It also covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut and lets the users to imitate the BT.2020 color space. Moreover, the Sony Ultimate 4K Home Theater Projector is compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and the forthcoming home video formats.

The projector includes a standard powered lens with lens shift capability of +/-31% horizontal and +/-80% vertical as well as zoom ratio from 1.27 to 2.73:1. It can also be tilted up to 30 degrees, making it more flexible for installations.

Furthermore, the users can enjoy binge watching movies or television shows for this Sony projector's laser light engine brings a long operational life and includes quick on and off times without having to wait for it to cool down. It is now available for preorder and is set to be shipped in Spring 2016 with a retail price of $60000.
