Xiaomi Unveiled its Latest 60-inch 4K, Ultra-Thin Mi TV 3; Expected to Cost Roughly $785

Xiaomi has just launched its third generation smart television, the Mi TV 3. This 60-inch LG true 4K television features ultra-thin aluminum and metal backplate design and will be priced at around $785.

Lei Jun, the Chief Executive Officer of Xiaomi, was the one who unveiled the latest innovation of the company at the launch. Mi TV 3 brings a 4K display on a budget and is extremely thin with a size of 11.6mm by 36.7mm.

According to a report from Android Headlines, Xiaomi Mi TV 3 features LG's 4K panel. It has super clear motion images, MEMC motion compression, and color gamut of NTSC 85%. Additionally, the smart television is packed in four 2.5-inch mid-range subwoofers that offer deep bass and clean sound.

MIUI TV, an Android-based smart television platform, runs the Mi TV 3. It lets the users to download games and applications. A new Bluetooth remote control that features voice search and Wii-like gesture control was also launched. This remote control allows the users to play games and it costs about $15.

Furthermore, the Chinese tech giant has divided the component and display parts of the Mi TV 3. The memory and processor are added into a separate four-speaker sound bar just below the television. And all the ports you need are in one place to connect to the set-top boxes, Internet, and Blu-Ray players. By doing so, Huawei states that separating the components, users get to save more when upgrading their system. As a result, the Mi TV 3 main board can be purchased separately at a cost of $157.

On the whole, the Mi TV 3 will be available very soon in China. There is no exact release date yet, but it will definitely be worth the wait. Nonetheless, all Xiaomi users and spectators must keep up-to-date about the hottest news on this forthcoming smart television.
