Apple is supposedly to announce its latest addition to its tablet lineup, the iPad Air 3, this year. However, it was postponed, spurring more speculations about the reason why it was delayed and when it will be officially released. Hence, the latest rumor is that the iPad Air 3 might come in the first quarter of 2016.
Rumor has it that the tech giant is to launch its iPad Air 3 early next year, March at the latest. Still, the possibility that it may arrive later this year cannot be discounted. The company might still have something up its sleeves that will surprise everyone.
According to Christian Today, Apple has delayed the unveiling of the iPad Air 3 to make way for the iPad Pro. Since Microsoft is preparing for its Surface Pro 4 launching, the Cupertino-based tech giant shifted its focus to the iPad Pro instead to match the former device.
As for the specifications and features of the new iPad Air, it is expected to measure 5mm thin and sport a 9.7-inch Retina display with 4K resolution. Under the hood, it will run iOS 9 operating system out of the box as well as A9X processor with 2GB or 4GB of RAM. It will also come in four variants - 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Additionally, it is said to be waterproof and dustproof.
Camera wise, the iPad Air 3 will boast an 8-megapixel primary shooter and 2.1-megapixel front snapper. The iPad Air 3 may also have a smaller battery compared to its predecessor. However, it is alleged to work faster and have significant improvements than the iPad Air 2.
In terms of market retail price, iPad Air 3 is expected to cost at around $619 at least. The availability of this innovative tablet is yet to be announced by Apple.
Whether the company is set to release the iPad Air 3 early next year or later this year, Apple loyalists will absolutely watch out for this one. Even though the sales in the tablet might be declining, Apple won't stop producing premium and top-of-the-line devices for everyone.
