One of the biggest reveal at this year's E3 is Ubisoft Montreal's new game For Honor, a third-person, melee-based tactical combat hack-n-slash that has a revolutionary battle control system that have since had fans abuzz with excitement.

Ubisoft Montreal's newest IP is designed with a newly developed hand-to-hand combat system called "The Art of Battle". This was designed to connect the player, the controller, and the character on screen. Using the fundamental concepts of fighting, Ubisoft Montreal has successfully translated the joystick into a direct weapons movement controller. The game has been getting a lot of attention because of the fact that The Art of Battle has been arduously responsive based on gameplay reviews by gaming journal websites.

For Honor was officially revealed in this year's E3 and has since caught the attention of the gaming community. Gaming journal websites like IGN have captured gameplay footage to demonstrate the revolutionary control system. For Honor is not a typical hack-n-slash for an average gamer. The game needs to have a team strategy in order to take over the opposing team's offensive attack. Teamwork as well as individual combat strategy have to be seriously employed in order to play the game. While the game was tested out at E3 2015, the official release date has yet to be announced.

The game is based on history, but is not a historical game. The game is non-fantasy, and is based on warriors during the Middle Ages, but it does not aim for period history accuracy. While the combat techniques, accessories, principles are meticulously researched, the time period is not readily defined. Three warriors representing the fierce combatants of the ancient ages dominate the combat arena: The Chosen, The Warborn, and The Legions. Each Warrior has his own offensive and defensive playability, as well as unique, fully customizable armor and weaponry to suit the player. More information on the game, the different factions, and a more in-depth account of the different Warriors can be uncovered through the official For Honor website.

Ubisoft Montreal's For Honor will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One systems. A release date for the game has yet to be announced.
