Only four days after the premiere of "Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3 with the title, "Semper Infidelis," all ten episodes were already leaked online by a yet to be identified hacker.
GeekSnack reports that most U.S. residents usually stay tuned on TV or online for episodes to be aired and were surprised to see episodes of "Da Vinci's Demons" appearing on several torrent sites. This will undeniably put the show in jeopardy if viewers will risk downloading torrent files of the leaked episodes illegally. Ratings will go down and might possibly ruin the chances of the show's continuation. This is such a big letdown since this was reportedly the most anticipated season yet.
This is also definitely bad news for fans who are against piracy. Spoilers will absolutely break out all over the internet, or worse-from friends who just can't shut their mouths to friends who just want to enjoy their favourite show in peace and free of spoilers.
On the other hand, a report by TVWise says that "Da Vinci's Demons" is coming to an end this season. Tom Riley says in an interview, when asked if ever there was room for a fourth season: "There was always the chance that we could end up doing another season should a great idea come around. If there was something that made it feel like the story was worth continuing, we would have done it. But that never really reared its head, so we decided to end on a high rather than [to go on] flogging a dead horse."
"Da Vinci's Demons" is written by David S. Goyer who foretells the life of Florentine artist, Leonardo Da Vinci, who lived in the Renaissance era. The series revolves around 25-year old Da Vinci's (Tom Riley) life whose talents in the arts had earned him much recognition. He works for the Medici family to find more answers to the mystery found in the "Book of Leafs."
The series is well-received, gaining much praise from critics and fans because of the real-like and intriguing presentation of Da Vinci's "untold" life recollected in a work of fiction. Even with the disastrous leaked Season 3 episodes, true fans of "Da Vinci's Demons" would still definitely support the show on TV or online no matter what.
Catch it still on Starz, Saturdays at 8pm or binge watch the entire season on the Starz website.
