The "fun" in fantasy returns in "The Librarians" Season 2 which premiered last Sunday, November 1. The second season kicked off with "And the Drowned Book" in a two-hour special.
A few months have passed since the events of the first season and the team of Librarians have gone their separate ways, Examiner reports. But they must unite again to save New York from a massive storm after having been brought back together to the Library for different reasons because of their book clippings. The important lesson to be learned here is that perhaps working together as a team is still the better option than being divided and alone.
Noah Wyle, who appears occasionally as Flynn Carsen from the original TV-movie, and now one of the show's executive producers, appears again in "The Librarians." This time, he is travelling with the counter-terrorism expert, Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn). The two of them are off on an adventure while the other three Librarians have gone on their own artifact-retrieving missions. Though, their priority should be to secure the fort at the branch of the magical Library based in Portland. But eventually, they found themselves reunited again at the Library to attend a New York Museum party for more artifact hunting.
However, they have to stop a strange weather change that's looming in New York City. The team later on discovers that Prospero is the one behind it. He is the master magician in William Shakespeare's "The Tempest." He has teamed up with a supervillain genius who is known to be one of the "fictionals," who are characters from literature who come to life in the real world. The introduction of the fictionals, TV.com writes, reinforces the theme of the second season. Their liberation from and hopeless attachment to the stories that shaped them is rife with potential character development and new plot twists.
Catch the team of Librarians as they are off to another fun and fantastical adventure between and beyond the confines of the real and imaginary in "The Librarians" Season 2, Sundays, 8pm on TNT.
