It has been three years since the announcement of Ubisoft's apocalyptic shooting game, The Division. Being first announced in 2003 Electronic Entertainmnet Expo (E3), its latest trailer have been revealed during the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) Prime 2015. However, anticipation grows in the fan community as some delays have prompted the game to be released in the first quarter of next year. Furthermore, rumors have been circulating with regards to the downgrading of the game's graphics. With these, Ubisoft attempts to address such issues.
Rants and complaints of fans have surfaced from different parts of the web which was rooted from a fan review on a YouTube channel. Some fans blame the developer for prioritizing the new Dark Zone of the game as to the graphic downgrading and the series of delays. With these, Senior Game Designer Matthieu Delisle offered a glimpse about the game's Dark Zone through the Ubiblog. He disclosed that a new feature in the PvP called Rogue shall be introduced. The Rogue feature can be activated when a player had a lot of player kills. The feature, despite being hard to be survived, promises a considerable amount of bounty and progress in the end. Other features were also discussed by Delisle; nevertheless, Crossmap guesses that its success be based on the upcoming beta testing of the game.
In the meantime, Youth Health Magazine reports that Ubisoft is still at the phase of working on the game to give the fans what they have been promised of. Furthermore, it is also reported that the company is taking advantage of its Snowdrop engine to deliver the quality of gameplay fans have been expecting.
Snow Drop is an advanced graphics engine which would provide more details to the objects in the game. It clows the realistic visuals which would look like the real thing, including the shadows, reflections, and even the tiniest details. Furthermore, the developers say that such negative comments and rumors about the downgrading of the game's graphics was only spread by a comment in a YouTube channel, reported Master Herald. The developer also explained that they had to delay the game as to give way to other projects. In turn, Ubisoft now assured fans that there would be no further delays to the game.
Tom Clancy's The Division, developed by Ubisoft, shall be released on March 8, 2016. The game will be playable on Xbox One and PS4 using the Snow Drop engine.
