Apple is set to unveil its next-generation smartwatch, which is said to be known as the Apple Watch 2. Recent reports claim that it will most likely have a built-in video camera, more styles, and enhanced battery life.

The Cupertino-based tech giant is still very tight-lipped about its alleged forthcoming Apple Watch 2. There are still limited information and details about the matter. However, rumor has it that its speculated built-in video camera is enabled the device receive and make Facetime calls. Also, its size is believed to be the same as the original Apple Watch and its thickness will be a little bit lessened.

The Apple Watch 2 is expected to sport a 3G modem that lets the device to function even without being paired with an iPhone. A quicker processor, bigger internal battery, and enhanced outdoor visibility are also said to be included in the Watch 2.

Furthermore, its release date is speculated to be next year, some time in fall. Apparently, it will be most likely to be in September alongside the launching of the rumored iPhone 7. If this is to be believed, then the tech giant will have ample time to develop the second-generation Apple Watch.

It is also worth noting that Apple is in search of a second supplier to assist them in ensuring that demand issues are minimized when the next-generation wearable is launched. Currently, Quanta is the main manufacturer of the Apple Watch, but other companies, like Foxconn, Wistron, and Inventec are reported to be included in the production of the smartwatch.
