Presenting the 2016 Grammy Nominees: One Artist Nominated In Three Massive Awards

By

There's the Oscars for the actors and actresses and we've got the Grammys for music artists. Although this music award ceremony is not without its relentless critics and haters, claiming it to be profit-oriented rather than a genuine event that recognizes the true No. 1's among different categories, still the Grammy Awards remain to be internationally acknowledged.

Intentionally or not, among some of the highly anticipated awardees vying for the trophies are Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Meghan Trainor, and The Weeknd to name a few.

Here are some of the hit nominations for the 58th Grammy Awards:

For the year-end awards, in "Record of the Year Category," nominees are "Really Love" by D'Angelo and the Vanguard, "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran, "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift and "Can't Feel My Face" by the Weeknd.

For the "Song of the Year" award, we now have double nominations for Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud." We also have Kendrick Lamar's "Alright", Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" and Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth's "See You Again."

As for the "Album of the Year" category, nominees include "Sound & Color" by Alabama Shakes and "Traveller" by Chris Stapleton. Going against each other for another award are The Weeknd with "Behind the Madness," Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly" and Taylor Swift with "1989".

These nominations are among the largest scale of awards, where some of the biggest names in the music industry are bound to make their marks. Of course it's not to say the other awards are any less which simply makes the Grammy Awards an event to look forward annually.

There are over 80 categories meant to give the limelight for the deserving and some for the "secret-bias-chosen-by-people-above-deserving," which of course will add more badges on their individual profiles. As for fans, everyone is just hoping to give justice to this musical pedestal and give credit where credit is due.
