The HTC One M10 which has been all over the wire for quite some time now is expected to debut either February or March next year. This upcoming smartphone by the Taiwanese tech giant is believed to be running on Android 6.1 Marshmallow as it comes out of the box.
According to Yibada, a tweet from HTC ROM developer LlabTooFer tipped that the unannounced HTC smartphone will be codenamed Perfume. This device is believed to run with Android 6.1 OS and Sense 8.0 UI.
Although Google has not yet revealed the existence of Android 6.1 OS yet, it is predicted that the company will roll out the update. Currently, Android devices are bound to receive the Android 6.0.1 version of Marshmallow operating system.
The same tipster stated that the HTC One M10 release will most likely happen after the launch of HTC One X9. LlabTooFeR also specified that the handset will be revealed two to three months after the One X9. It is believed that HTC will hold a spring launch to give the two handsets a reasonable gap.
Neurogadget cited some of the possible features that might be seen in the HTC One M10. This device is said to sport a 5-inch touch screen display, dual-SIM support, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage, both of which can be extended up to 2 TB memory.
When it comes to the camera, an 8-megapixel front snapper with the neat 4K element and a 13-megapixel one with dual-LED flash main are expected. But there are also talks saying that the new HTC device will have a 27 MP camera unit.
Moreover, the device may also come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, support for wireless charging technology, USB Type-C port and 3.500 mAh battery capacity.
Day Herald stated that the developers may design the Perfume by taking inspirations from one of their flagship models like the HTC One A9. But these claims are unconfirmed and it should be noted that HTC already stated in the past that the company intends on implementing the design language of the A9 in its upcoming flagship handsets in the future.
Although the February or March release of the HTC One M10 is already nearing, the company is still tight-lipped about the upcoming handset. As of the moment, excited buyers of the One M10 could only rely on these speculations and rumors as a guide until the company releases its specifics soon.
