There's no stopping the Duggar family from coming back on screen, particularly sisters, Jill and Jessa. The two siblings have appeared on the first airing of their spinoff series "Jill & Jessa: Counting On." In this special series, TLC aims to focus on the life of these two reality stars as newly-wed moms. But of course, viewers are looking out for this show to see Anna Duggar.
After Josh Duggar's infamous scandal broke through headlines, his wife Anna Duggar has chosen to remain silent. However, TLC gets the scoop from Anna herself who is expected to appear in this spinoff series. Of course, the audience are anticipating as to how this family's drama unfolds.
On Part 1 of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" which aired on Sunday, December 13, the Duggar siblings face the camera to discuss their reactions to their eldest brother's issue. The interviews revealed heart-stricken faces where a lot of tears ensued from the Duggar brood.
"Life over the past four months has been pretty crazy for my family," Jessa shared.
It's been rumoured recently that the family fought over whether to push through the three-part series or not. According to Entertainment Tonight, some family members were against the idea of coming out to the show. In fact there were members who swore not to come out in public out of respect to the serious and private issue the family is facing. Also, most of the gist of the family squabble is on whether to let Anna Duggar participate or not. However, judging from the opening of the series, the main victim on this whole Duggar scandal has chosen to publicize her ordeals on the TLC program.
Unfortunately, viewers are not happy with the Duggars' decision. According to Hollywood Gossip, there is a group pushing a social media campaign urging people to boycott the Duggars' show.
"Join us in boycotting all Discovery network channels for the one hour they are airing the TLC show 'Jill & Jessa Counting On' 8/7 c," the group wrote in Facebook. "This family minimized childhood sexual abuse showing victims they do not matter."
TLC was looking forward to the surge of ratings, but with all this Duggar drama, they might instead suffer from a failed program. The two remaining parts of the show will be aired on Dec. 20 and 27, 2015.
