"Iron Man," "Captain America," "Spider-man," and "The Avengers" films are some of Marvel's big-screen hits, based on Box Office Mojo data, each on their own right. As such, it was only time that the company decides to expand its universe via the small screen. Last September 2013, Marvel aired its pilot episode for their TV series "Agents of SHIELD," and although it received mixed reviews from critics, the show is still set to return for Season 2.
According to an Enstarz report, scientists Fitz and Simmons Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) might take their complicated feelings for each other to a romantic route. it could be recalled that in the episode titled "Beginning of the End", Fitz had all but revealed his heart's true feelings for Simmons when the two discussed about the only way for them to escape from a locked unit underwater where they are both trapped. However, Simmon's kisses to her lab partner showed otherwise. You can view the very touchy moment here.
TVLine quoted show executive producer Jeff Bell, who said that as the show returns on September 23, fans of FitzSimmons might feel toyed. He said, "The beauty of what [Fitz said to Simmons trapped underwater] is it makes for lots of complicated feelings. I'd be curious to see how things will be different or the same now."
Moreover, there would be some notable additions to the show's second season. Marvel announced that Kyle McLachlan would be joining the show as Skye's father. According to Breathecast, he would be joined by "Xena: The Warrior Princess" star Lucy Lawless as Isabelle Hartley, an agent who is a knife extraordinare. Moreover, a character named Barbara 'Bobbi' Morse will be introduced to "SHIELD." Although the actress who will be playing the role of Mockingbird has not been announced, the person no doubt would need to be credible to pull off a character purportedly injected with Super Soldier Serum.
The other notable additions to the cast mentioned are Henry Simmons as Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie, Reed Diamond as Daniel Whitehall, British actor Nick Blood as Lance Hunter, and Simon Kassianides as Bakshi. Screencrush said Colbie Smulders, who played Maria Hill on "The Avengers," will reprise her role on the small screen.
