New spoilers for "Transformers 5" are popping up every week, each one claiming to have the scoop on another new robot for the upcoming robo-sequel. Will it be Unicron? Perhaps The Predacons and the Maximals? More DInobots? Rodimus Prime?
Well, here's another one for that long list of rumored Transformers. According to the Inquisitr, here's the list of the latest 'bots who may or may not (they are rumors, after all) be headed to the franchise.
"Ultra Magnus, Blitzwing, Scourge, Cyclonus, Override, and Red Alert."
Most notable among the group is Ultra Magnus. In case you never watched the cartoons, here's a quick refresher: Ultra Magnus is a classic Autobot with a close relationship to Optimus Prime, and who is usually involved with the longtime Transformers villain Galvatron.
And as Galvatron popped up in the last "Transformers" film, there's your motive for including Ultra Magnus in "Transformers 5."
International Business Times, meanwhile has that same list of potential Transformers additions, along with a big new scoop- that instead of adding the Maximals and the Predacons to "Transformers 5," the mammal/reptile-themed robots would get their own spin-off.
It'd certainly make money- the one part of "Transformers: Age of Extinction" everyone was looking forward to was the Dinobots, and they only got a few minutes of screen time. A spin-off for similar robots is the way to go.
International Business Times also adds that the spin-off, if it was to happen, would hit theaters sometime after "Transformers 5." That ones the priority right now.
Just not for Michael Bay. IGN also has the news of just why Michael Bay has left the franchise- apparently, he's spending all his time on a new film about Benghazi, and no longer has any time to devote to these old 'bots.
