While Avengers: The Age of Ultron has yet to hit the theaters, there have been already rumors of late surrounding the third Avengers film.
Now there have been rumors that the film will be split into two parts, it would seem highly unlikely. According to the Badass Digest, "there have also been talks that Marvel will not be including Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow in the third Avengers installment."
James Gunn, director of "Guardians of the Galaxy" has addressed rumors of a Guardians and Avengers tie-up. He has confirmed that the two franchises will not be related. "I don't feel beholden to that stuff at all. I think it's really about the Guardians and what they are doing. We are not subservient to the Avengers. Guardians 2 is not a movie that's made to move toward The Avengers." Gunn said in an interview with MTV.
With the absence of many of the original Avengers cast, secondary characters from the previous Avengers movies might be stepping up to the plate to show their potential and "possibly get their own spin-offs".
Stars like Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson might not be featured in the third film. In fact, Robert Downey Jr. is the only star to have renegotiated his contract and is set to star in the third installment of the Avengers.
With many speculations being abuzz all over the Internet, it seems that Marvel has yet again stayed one step ahead of its audiences. Only time will tell what lies ahead for the Avengers.
