Been waiting for a new excuse to shoot some zombies? That excuse is almost here. The first add-on for "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is about to be released (its official release date is February 26), and the add-on, "Havoc," will finally add zombies to the latest "Call of Duty" game.
Technically, "Havoc" was already released for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but now the add-on will be available for PC, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. There's a wealth of new content in the add-on: it adds four new multiplayer maps (Core, Drift, Urban and Slideshow), and pit the player against zombies strapped into the game's exosuits- surely something far more power than your ordinary zombie, clad in nothing but a tattered shirt, jeans and maybe a pair of running shoe's if he's lucky.
The game will also feature the voices of Jon Bernthal, Rose McGowan, John Malkovich and Bill Paxton. it'll also feature a new weapon, the AE4 Widowmaker energy assault rifle.
But as you can probably guess, "Havoc" isn't the end of the "Call of Duty" franchise. There's three more DLC additions left to add to "Advanced Warfare" after Havoc; and after that, it's already been announced that there's a new "Call of Duty" in the works.
Activision stated officially that the next "Call of Duty" is an "exciting new game from one of our top development teams," and later added that the developer Treyarch would be in charge of the game. This new "Call of Duty" will most likely be announced in May.
And there's likely going to be "Call of Duty" games every year for the rest of our continued existence. "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" was the top-selling console game of 2015, and Activision reports that the "Call of Duty" franchise has now made a total of $11 billion. Hopefully, every one of those future "Call of Duty" installments will still let us blow away a zombie or two.
