‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ opens a can of worms with ‘Arkham Knight’ mystery; ‘Robin’ to kill Batman in the series finale?

The excitement over "Batman: Arkham Knight" kept on growing as more details had been spilling out from Rocksteady's cauldron of sensational spoilers. ESRB's M-rating even helped in giving the game additional momentum as hardcore fans eagerly await the game's June release.

Fans have already been oriented on the basics of the upcoming game. The Scarecrow was one of the major super-villains that wrought havoc in the game. Add to that, the entire ensemble of mentally unstable yet brilliant criminal minds would help out in destroying Batman. So many super-villains packed in one game would definitely give it a dark feel; imagine what they could unleash.

However, very little was known about another major super-villain that would be very important in the game; so important he's even in the title, the Arkham Knight.

A few gamers had went on to speculate that the Arkham Knight was Jason Todd, the second Robin, who died under the hands of the Joker, based on the comic series. He would soon be revived as the Red Hood, a vigilante, who killed criminals and hated Batman for not punishing Joker for all the crimes he'd committed. Add to that, Rocksteady would soon be releasing a PS4 exclusive DLC, which would allow gamers to play as Red Hood, as indicated in an article from Techtimes.

Meanwhile, "Batman: Arkham Knight" tie-in comic might also reveal what could happen next between Batman and the Arkham Knight. It would be a digital comic prequel to the game and the plot would begin right after the events in "Batman: Akham City."

In the first few pages of the digital comic, it would be discovered that the Joker's "corpse" had gone missing and that it might be part of the super-villain's "final gag" in the Arkham Asylum. Add to that, another super-villain would return to the series, which would be the Scarecrow, and that would lead the Arkham Knight to an unusual find.

Little was known about the Arkham Knight apart from him hating Batman so much, he was intent on killing Batman. Also, the Arkham Knight worked with chemicals. Could this mean that the Arkham Knight would be the Scarecrow's weapon in killing Batman?
